As well as Personalised videos and cam shows porn hub killed the industry and they basically own every other porn site I listened to a podcast on this.

Basically only a select few make money from porn there is no trickle down economy so to say only people making money from porn are men.

There was a story about a porn star trying to start her own production company to own her money etc but couldn't get a bank loan because her job. While a male producer could walk in and get a loan easily.

She was saying the same banker would say no to her would go home and watch her videos.
