With the way it was edited, I can see how you thought this because in Lost,iirc, there was something very similar that happened that would've made your assumption a correct one.

I just think it was timing and editing and the issues are unrelated.

I do think something was in the forest with them shaking up the tent, I just don't know what

So them digging in the house caused the earthquake in the tent?

That was my initial thought. Not sure if that's the case though cuz they were in a basement digging and the light they saw outside of the tent was much brighter
