From what I can see, this Reggie person appears to be a complete dimwit. The idea that people can look at his shit and decide that I sound anything like that is deeply, deeply depressing to me. Honestly, it almost makes me question my continued presence on this site, and maybe even life in general.

Maybe I am. I have already displayed my proficiency in French in this thread a few months ago when a lot of French niggas was in here for some reason... and I definitely have more up my sleeve.
Also: There's nothing wrong with talking with a valley girl accent if you're from Harlem. It's okay for people to shape their lives and personalities beyond what they were born into. It's okay to have ambition and develop yourself into the kind of person you want to be, even if that's not how you were born.

I agree... but what bugs me is that these people are saying this dude's speech and content resembles my words I have actually written in this post. And that is just.... beyond the limits of sanity to me. That guy sounds nothing like me. Not in terms of the ideas he's expressing, or the language through which he expresses them.
Too simplistic. What is my tribe? There's easily 4 groups of people I can identify with some more insular than the others. If I choose to be insular and restrict myself to my 'tribe', some folks will still accuse someone of not being willing to integrate.
