Hey! Hol' up dude! Retired Marine here. Ya'll don't know me so I ain't worried about that 'government name' stuff. I don't speak much on it because everyone is 'Superman' in real life (sarcasm). But I want to say 'Salute' and 'Thanks for your Service' to both of you. I retired after 21 years. Got everything I wanted out of my military career. Chilling, enjoying the good life right now.
Did a 7-month stint on Camp Arifjan/Camp Doha in the mid-2000's. Used to drive up to Ali Al Salem to eat lunch at the Air Force chow hall because ya'll had Cinnabon desserts. The Kuwaiti government supplied all the food for the military personnel, and we had an ice cream/pastry bar in the DFACs. Soldiers were legit getting fat over there from eating so much and not PT'ing.
Had a blast. One of the top deployments I ever had. I was there as an Individual Augmentee (IA), which meant I was fapped out to an Army unit (3rd Army). My home base was San Diego. Chilling. Had access to vehicles, cash, and weapons. Could come and go as I pleased off base. Used to drive up to the Kuwaiti airport to have dinner and shop.
Life was good. Again, thanks for your service fellas.
