You have a point on that end, but at the end of the day as long as the links are on public display, it's a battle between how long the links can survive and when does the owner of the content view said links and take action.
The bigger problem comes with MEGA and how they're handling these cases. They're acting pretty fast in some cases. I wonder if they'll start attributing unique ids in the meta to photos uploaded and are marked as copyrighted media, which can prevent future uploads from happening.
