is there a certain "Encode Speed" or "RF" setting that anyone uses for handbrake to get the best compression? shit be doing aiight but I'm not sure if there's a best setting for these type of videos... I don't need vids to be anything above 720p

You'll have to keep messing around with it until you find a sweetspot. Stay around the CRF 22 or so. If you have a Nvidia GPU the encoding process will go a lot faster. You can try using the Nvidia NVEnc Encoder if you have one.
