I can't speak to anyone's individual setup, but I've never had an issue getting it to work on phone or desktop. A link here and there would hang or error out, but that's about it. Works 99% of the time.

If you discover a site it doesn't work for, you can email the developer and he'll add it. I've done that a couple of times. Also, if you have other extensions installed that intercept traffic, there could be a conflict, though I have a bunch installed, including ad blockers, without any issues.
