It doesn't even need to be done manually. This forum runs on XenForo and there are lots of admins complaining about spam. Even though It's not bots in here, dudes posting and reposting ad links are behaving like any typical spam bot. I believe it's possible for an admin to create a spam list and block messages that contain certain words or phrases. There's always ways around it so that would get some but not all.

Lots of forums don't allow this bullshit and they're functioning just fine. The boss man actually said a while back to take all that bullshit elsewhere (he also said for people to stop making requests in this thread but nobody listens to that either). Find a non-spammy way to protect your links.
