I think the point you are missing or maybe the point dos is trying to make is....Would they annouce this if it was any other black non celebrity male, or they using him to make money off his name/rap. I think we all know being a 0.1 owner is being a co-owner but seems like this is more(maybe) of a lets make money off of rap then him being a 50% owner deal

I ain't missing it all. You make celebrity endorsements/ownership to bring in money. So nah, I doubt they would have announced it

The problem ya'll have is yall think the word co owner means 50% and it doesnt lol. Or yall assume everyone gonna think 50% , in which we won't. Not everyone at least

Again, what it matter if its 1% or 51%, besides the size check Meek getting cut. I doubt anyone thinks Lids is a BOB cause Meek got some ownership. Hell I think Meek got more to gain from this then Lids tbh

this aint a slight to the people and the percentage they own.
this is a slight to the people who want to use a persons fanbase and culture to grow their bottom line or get a pass or a scapegoat.
lets keep it 100...alot of people blamed jayz for all the homes that was destroyed building the barclays center.

I dont recall much of the JayZ/Nets talk cause I ain't really care. Yes it gentrified Brooklyn even more and had a harmful affected on the minorities in the neighborhood. Dope ass arena tho that generated jobs for some of those minorities also

This a good look for him tho, and I don't see lids trying to rape the culture as they already have been marketing towards the culture way before Meek came along

like i think @Mooney said, i hope meek uses this as a jump point to have his own shit. while i understand he may be trying to learn about the business ...i hope he goes solo.
again this aint about meek....i just dont like anyone trying mooch of the people they think has the nations attention at the moment vs the person trying to get into business ...period.
i look at all businesses that work with certain black people with a side eye. they stay trying to be slick. i just hope this aint what i think it is and ill wait to speak on it.
