Basically the Dr Strange one should’ve been the finale. But maybe some of these episodes are backdoor pilots to their own series maybe? A Marvel Zombies series would be the shit!

Well, the Watcher did kinda tell you what happened. He said something to the effect of "Human will fight to save those close to them even if it means the end of the universe." I took that to basically mean that the end of this one in the long run wasn't much different than what happened in the Dr. Strange ep. There's pretty much no way they get past Zombie Thanos with the stones.
