In their defense , they changed the Ancient One because of their fear that they'd offend Asians with the stereotype or piss off the Chinese by putting in a Dalai Lama like figure.
And yeah, if this movie is decent, it will have a similar effect to BP, which means it will be huge since the demographic is much larger.

Left Index Finger - Flame throwing
Right Index Finger - Energy projection
Left Middle Finger - Lightning blasts
Right Middle Finger - Air manipulation
Left Ring Finger - Psionic Energy amplification
Right Ring Finger - Matter Disintegration
Left Small Finger - Ice formation
Right Small Finger - Black Light manipulation
Left Thumb - White Light manipulation
Right Thumb - Matter Manipulation
Plus he has a master of martial arts and has a mastery over Chi and can channel it for superhuman strength and for use during his fighting styles.

They didnt do it because they had fear of offending Asians. They did it because Chinese bought a big percentage of the company and didnt want it in the film. And if they put Tibet in the film, China would of banned the film in all of China and they didnt wanna lose that money.
This is what China does, buys big shares in a company then slowly takes over. And Americans are so greedy they'll do w/e for an extra buck.
This made me think of the last season of South Park where they pointed this type of shit out, then made fun of China & the NBA. After it aired China banned all South Park content in China so they issued an apology.
