I it wouldn't this show works best as its own self contained story and that's why I like it. The show feels different than the rest of the MCU.

The partner Marc is referring to that killed Layla's partner could be Bushman. They changed it up from the comics cause Layla is actually a new character in the show but she seems to be based on Marlene Alraune

I know the creators of the show said they wouldn't use Bushman as the antagonist but you never know down the road
