I caught the camrip. The movie was solid it didn't suck although they downplayed red hulk and made him a big dumb mindless brute. The fight choreography in winter soldier was better but still the movie was solid. Brave new world is not a big event movie but a lead up to secret wars.

Hated soooo much about this film, it was messy. Marvel is officially getting the DC treatment with me

Saw it in IMAX 3D. Hadn't seen one of those in awhile

I liked it a lot. My complaint was the suit looked bulky as hell. I'm not sure what part is supposed to be vibranium but it looked more cloth with a ton of padding. He also got stabbed so I guess not all of it is vibranium? but then how did he take so many hits. He's lucky as hell he was able to get red hulk to calm down

Didn't know it was going to tie in Eternals but I honestly chuckled at that part because it's been forgotten forever. Though now with them bringing it back up... it's brings up a whole lot of other questions since then

So vibranium can hurt the red hulk. Can it hurt green hulk? Red hulk was able to get cut and stabbed

I was confused on the timeline of this in the MCU because of the adamantium being this new element they didn't know about. How's that work with the Deadpool and Wolverine movie?

There was a nice mixture of humor and drama

Good movie. Mackie did his stuff as the lead. Interesting new characters that they introduced. I know Ruth's size caused a few seizures.

PRAISE: The Manchurian Candidate, and Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones i couldn't help but think about these two movies as the 35th Marvel film about Sam Wilson, the new Captain America, finding himself in the middle of an international incident played out.
Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson and Captain America has two stand out scenes and one is spoiler filled but it's when he is expressions self doubt is when i really paid attention to the character aside from some early action sequences. As the newly Falcon, Joaquin Torres Danny Ramirez has a couple of good moments. As Thaddeus Ross, Harrison Ford does really well expressing the many twisty layers to the character. Giancarlo Esposito’s Voelker/Sidewinder does well in his moments in the movie. Isaiah Bradley, played by Carl Lumbly, friendship with Wilson carries over nicely from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier show. As Ruth Bat-Seraph, Sira Haas does ok in another brief performance in this movie, the background of her character was interesting and i wondered if she will appear in more Marvel movies. The movie tries to be as cohesive as it can be connecting Marvel films from the past and present. There are some really great hard hitting action sequences coupled with some great sound design and the hand to hand fights weren't bad either. There is one scene that made me wish The Falcon and The Winter Soldier had been given another season. There are some inserts of humor that worked for me.

PROBLEMS: I was hoping for more from the villain. I could definitely tell what was reshot because the green screen in those scenes were awful. One characters "disguise' was laughable. Some characters were taken off the board far to quickly. Predictable moments are scattered throughout the movie. I had to suspend disbelief several times when a character walks away from some fights almost completely unscathed and the audience is reminded of this when a line of dialogue is repeated. CABNW is not as involving or engaging as it wants to be.

Scale of 1 to 10 a 7

Friend and me went to see it Friday. More or less the standard mediocrity from this phase of Marvel. They just can't seem to find that old stride they had before, no matter what they do

- Early fight scene with Mackie in the white suit was pretty good but then for most of the movie he is just regular old Sam Wilson. I get you gotta play the plot game and ground these movies a little but I think they forget people go to super hero shit to see super heroes. Get him in the suit more and into some action. Mackie hitting the Falcon/Cap combos is usually pretty sick.

- Standouts to me were Ford and dude who plays Bradley. Both good in their roles. Flip side is that little chic was annoying and ain't nobody buying her taking down bad guys in a hand to hand fight.

- The movie kind of addresses it but Sam Wilson as Cap just makes no sense without serum. He has no business in a direct fight with Red Hulk not just getting smashed to pieces. I get he has a strong suit and wings but his body is just regular dude.

- Might be remembering wrong but it seems Marvel might be tilting a little more adult now. Felt like this had more cussing and "graphic" violence than other movies. Dudes who got shot had bullet wounds in their heads, we saw most of a suicide, some more blood. I think it is a good move since Marvel is falling off a cliff but Deadpool has so much success.

Probably like a 6.5/10

Marvel getting very close to the point where I just download the shit and don't spend money on it.

Movie was fire as fuck! The pros outweighs the cons heavy for me. It wasn’t great but the storyline was decent enough for me + the action scenes were on point especially the battle at celestial island & obviously the fight vs Red Hulk.

The relationship with Sam & Isaiah was cool; that’s something they should have given more depth too tho.

Sam is gonna have to take the serum. I don’t remember how he handles shit in the comics but idk how he gon lead in doomsday against doom & whoever else they got comin. Ready for more Red Hulk

Think it’s obvious they are setting up some kinda Hulk movie

7.5/10

Also setting up Doomsday with the warning the Leader gave Sam

If I wasn’t already up on things I wouldn’t know this since that warning was so vague. I guess they are assuming the audience will know it’s Doom.

Could have at least said “prepare this world for Doom” or some shit
:js4:
I don't even think it's about Doom, per se. I feel like he's talking about the incursions where worlds are about to collide. "We'll see what happens when you have to protect this place from the others". The heroes from the 616 might fight the heroes from another universe and then Doom takes advantage, Battleworld is created

meh movie was entertaining but forgettable. whoever decided to make the israeli character a major part of the movie probably got fired.

like everyone else said, not enough giancarlo. hopefully they bring him back a lot more. felt like they waited too late in the movie to have the red hulk come out, especially when you see the marketing.

kinda confused what they're doing with bucky too. They showed the thunderbolts trailer before this, but then he's campaigning to be in the gov?
