Yeeeeeaaaaahhhh

I just wonder why didn't they just pick up from where Falcon and the winter soldier from a continuity standpoint while still introducing the red hulk

In hindsight, I disagreed with this take earlier but I want to admit I was wrong but I do think them revealing the red hulk so early was a misstep

I apologize to who said this initially
They def should have finished that story. Could have tied into Wolverine's origin, Sentinels, War Machine wrapup, Doom tech that was hinted at, and all sort of things.

I just finished the movie and I honestly liked it. If I had to rate it out of 10, I would give it a 7.

If all the surprises hadn’t leaked it would’ve been even better in my opinion. I wished they never said that Red Hulk would be in this because it would’ve hit so much better when we did hulk out.

Lol this makes me feel better about the movie cause you'll call it for what it is if you don't like something

It was a solid movie, not great or anything.

I wouldn’t be surprised if some folks didn’t like it because it leaned into the fact that they were minorities and pointed out that they understood the difficulties of it.

I thought the film was ok at best, it's actually quite a mess. The political thriller of it had me engaged with reveal after reveal on what was really going on behind the scenes.

I like how Bradley called Sam out for working with Ross in the beginning. You would think Sam would have some internal conflict regarding the wrongful imprisonment of Bradley and his support of an anti-Black system but nope, he continues to bat for that system and somehow sees something good in Ross? Thunderbolt Ross has always been about advancing his own interests but I guess cause he loves his daughter, he's a decent person?

The final fight ended abruptly between Cap and Red Hulk and then a monologue to talk him down from causing more destruction lol. Also, the green screen is fairly obvious throughout that fight. Some of the action set pieces don't work for me.

I did love Harrison Ford's performance in this though. Anthony Mackie did well with what was given to him. Joaquin Torres brought the little humor that this film had. I see why Sam would make a good leader because he's inherently a good man with integrity but he even knows how limited he is without super soldier serum. Sabba didn't do anything for me in this too and I thought the Leader was kinda underwhelming.

Post credit scene....is The Leader referring to whats on the horizon with Doomsday?

⭐⭐½

The one thing that stuck out the most to me was the CGI was inconsistent. Some of it looked amazing, and some parts looked like YouTube fanfilm quality. Sometimes in the same scene.

They should’ve let the Russos do this. They would’ve gotten the tone, tension and pacing needed for this type of film correct and also they couldve used whoever the fight choreographer from those Cap/Extraction movies.

Matter fact… just hire that nigga for everything they do grounded CQC/hand to hand combat in.

Otherwise basic mid level marvel shit. Good enough to waste 2 hours on. Probably wont watch it again on purpose.
