COMING SOON Marvel's Avengers: Doomsday (12/18)

Best throwback actor they brought back was Kelsey Grammer as Beast. That was a perfect casting. At the same time, ain’t he like 70 by now?

Other than that, they could have kept all of the Fox X-Men and introduced new actors to the roles. Seems like Marvel isn’t even learning from its own success. It’s almost like they’re using X-Men as filler characters at this point and not giving them their proper due.

He was purely CGI in the Marvels, his age is not a big deal

My main point was give some young blood a chance. Even though he’s a perfect casting, put that Marvel casting power into finding a new actor to play that role.

Fox obviously fucked up Beast’s casting and look in First Class etc., but I think Marvel could do it better.

Hopefully these movies are just fan service and the plot resets everything so Marvel can start over. Pull an MK11 where all of the legacy characters are killed off and it all starts fresh again.

yeah im thinking this is just a send off and we'll get a proper xmen introduction after they wrap up this multiverse shit.

Patrick Stewart and Ian Mckellan are both like 85 I doubt we'll be seeing them reprise their roles again after this

Not when he was first cast. Per usual the internet hated it... heath ledger as joker.. etc etc

I'm one of the few who was glad I was wrong about Heath as joker.

I'm willing to see where this goes wit RDJ.

and theres mad people who havent been officially announced she could shapeshift into 👀

That's a lot for one movie

I know we said that about earlier movies but things have seemed to change
The difference with Infinity War, End Game, and Civil War was that many of the characters were already established in other movies. Many of them in solo movies.

I guess for the X-Men, they’re just reaching even further back on content for viewers to reference instead of re-introducing them. I’m just not sure how that’s going to work since they had no interaction with current MCU characters. It has the potential to fall flat.

Also, the MCU had anchor characters like Iron Man, Cap, Thor, Thanos, Fury, etc. that appeared in a lot of the movies, even if it was just end credit scenes. This go round there aren’t really any anchor characters.

I have faith in Marvel to do this so I’m not going to pre-judge. Marvel just has to connect all of the dots in a believable and interesting way.

Do you need to reintroduce an X-Men team everybody knows about already tho? They aren't the new X-Men. Anybody whose been watching comic book movies since the 2000s will know the Fox X-Men. They're from another universe and its safe to say that the incursion will be between their world and the main MCU universe.
