Someone suggested we make the thread, so here it is. I saw a couple vids on Youtube where this guy did a pretty good job of comparing similar movies from Marvel and DC. Do you agree or disagree with his conclusions?

While I agree that DC Cartoons are better than Marvel Cartoons in general, I probably wouldn't go that far. To me the Batman animated series was the best comic cartoon, but X-men and Spiderman were at least in the discussion with it. The Justice League cartoon was great too. Earth's Mightiest Heroes wasn't quite there, but it was in the discussion. Now if you're talking about animated movies then yeah I agree with you.

I don't know about DC's shows being clearly superior. The CW shows started out better, but they've grown stale. AoS has actually gotten better over time. The Netflix shows are hit and miss, but at the very least they they are on par with the CW stuff.
 
Movies - marvel

Animation- dc

Tv - about equal. I dont care for a majority of either companies tv shows, but may give the edge to marvel just because of legion.

Comics - dc all day

Nah, DC shows have fallen off in recent years. Even Jessica Jones bounced back after a horrible first season while Flash and Arrow has had 2 and 3 consecutive trash seasons and Legends hasn't had a good season yet.

The mcu is easily the biggest game changer in the whole discussion. Billion dollar franchise. Almost flawlessly executed. Whole reason we having this discussion.

Cartoons DC undisputed champ of all time. From super friends, to batman, Batman beyond, teen Titans, Young Justice, jlu, the library is too deep

Marvel best entries spiderman &x-men. They got some good stuff, but dc is stronger.


Animated movies DC all time champ. There's no reason to go any further.

Arrowverse vs Netflix/marvel is pretty even. Marvel has the edge with being able to do more with the adult ratings. DC does better with the cross over events. They're like mini movies and all the series share a story just like in the real comics. The way they do that is extremely effective.

Old school tv DC. The lou ferrigno hulk was classic, but Adam West Batman and Linda Carter Wonder woman are better.

and BVS JL MOS are better than the rest of the xmen shit they belched out over the past 10 years with the new professor x

SS is much better than that Apocalypse movie

But the 1st Blade, X-Men, Spidey 1 & 2, X-Men First Class/DOFP, Deadpool 1 & 2, and Logan, completely shit on the DCEU

First Class and Days of Future Past are most definitely better than BvS and JL, but I'd put them on the same level as MoS. Both Deadpool movies are better than SS. I'll give you everything in the DCEU being better than Apocalypse and that last Fantastic 4 movie though.
