Yeah i wasnt aware of Mary until watching the new Rockstars breakdown videos. It would make sense. She seems like shes a street level villain as well. She has mind control powers but it's very limited from what ive read.

It'd be cool if Sadie ended up being Jean gray, but that would be a weird rollout for the mutants. Sadie is definitely a villain and outside of the Phoenix story arc, I dont know if Jean was ever very villainous. She may not want to be captured by DC, but its not in her character to cause chaos like sadies character is in this movie.

I think Marvel is just letting the fans run with the speculation of Sadie possibly playing Jean as it's hyping up the movie and getting people to talk about it. Id bet by trailer 3 they will reveal who she is actually playing or they will keep it a secret to get the fans in theaters to find out.

You know what the more I think about it the more it probably isn’t Jean grey for few corporate reasons

1. Sadie is young so she would be restarting the entire X-men as far as casting I don’t think they started that yet especially with secret wars coming up

2. Everyone is street level randomly adding a multiverse threat doesn’t cater to the theme.

3. “Stranger things shock “she’s 23 gotta remember that show had her portraying a 16 year when you see her as herself in real life she leans way more on the side of typhoid Mary than Jean grey

4. Also I can’t see Jean held by some leather shackles

They are doing a younger version of the X-Men and even tho the multiversal elements weren’t prevalent in the trailer it will be there in the film. Actually the effects of the spell are seen in the trailer. Plus This film is happening at the same exact time as the events of Dooms Day

I still gotta finish wonder only watch 2-3 episodes. Never bothered with Agatha. Still wondering what the point of making the eternals was. Did they just abandon it? Haven't heard shit about it.

Iirc

Eternals was supposed to have a bigger role in the MCU but I think the multiverse stuff fucked that up
