I finally got around to watching this on HBO Max and i'm glad I didn't pay to see this in the theater

It was okay. I didn't like the main character at all, which kinda killed the ending for me. This movie reinforced white privilege at its peak. Dude continuously fucked over everyone he knew throughout the film and we as viewers are supposed to cheer for that? LMAO. Damn near every main character in the film was unlikable outside of the deaf Japanese dude. LMAO.

It wasn't bad, but I honestly don't understand the hype this got. I also found it strange that the movie took place in the 1950's, but the majority of the soundtrack was 80's music?? SMH
