Atlantic holding Lasers hostage aside, “I’m Beamin” had me beyond hyped for that album.

That first listen I think might have been the most disappointed I’ve ever been with an album—from the perspective of high expectations to an epic let down.

Really all his albums are unlistenable with an exception of F&L. I don’t think it’s his fault though. For the kind of artist he is I think part of it has to do with the fact he debuted after peak 2000’s.
