Breaking News Luka Doncic Traded To Lakers For Anthony Davis

As a Mavs fan I hate the move but I also get it logically….

Luka already plays zero defense, so if you expect him to be even heavier going forward, that’s not a winning formula

Trade makes sense for LA long term, but they aren't winning this season, where I believed they actually had a dark horse chance in the playoffs. I'm not even sure how Luka fits on this Lakers team. It's safe to say the Lakers have thrown the season away and plan to rebuild around Luka in the offseason.

Imagine gifting Luka to the Lakers in such a way that the Lakers can't even give him the supermax. Lmaoooooo. Lakers came up something amazing. Blessed franchise.

I said last night Mavs got better, but I meant that only for this season cause idk how Luka and Bron will work together. That seems like it's something that'll require a training camp and offseason.

So Mavs get better and Lakers get worse for this season imo.

That said, Lakers win the trade by a fucking light year in the long term. If for no other reason than getting a revenue generating machine.

"Would you like this trade a 100 million for a billion dollars?"

Lmaooo. Lakers said fuck yes.
Why do Luka and bron need a training camp and summer but not Kyrie and AD?

I just feel like as a guard and a big man can figure it out easier than 2 ball dominant wings. Will there be some more complex schemes for AD and Kyrie that they'll need the offseason for? 100%. But if you roll the ball out and say here is a guard and a big man, theyll have an easier time figuring it out than two ball dominant wings. Especially with Luka's style of play, which is horrible team basketball, even though playing with Kyrie showed he's willing to sacrifice, he still didnt take part in half the offensive actions when Kyrie had the ball

So Kyrie who been learning how to play with Luka who just came from playing with Durant and no dominant big man is going to just play with AD

Then AD who worked really hard for 6 years to have great chemistry has to learn how to play with a ball dominant PG

Also Luka/Lebron’s IQ >>>>>>

Just saying theoretically you’re right but it’s possible it’s not as simple as you may think

I mean of course I can be wrong. This is just all on paper.

On paper AD fits this Mavs team better than Luka fits this Lakers team. At least to me.

I still say Lakers won the trade by a million miles long term either way.

Luka is a generational player at 25, not only for how good he is, but he also got star quality.

Lakers set themselves up for the next 10-12 years and don't have to even give him the supermax for the first 3.

That's a wiiiiild come up for trading a 32 year old player, though he's great, and just a 1st round pick
