Louisiana Is The Latest State To Remove Soda and Candy From Food Stamps

Niggas need to stop buying that shit regardless of if yall think its nefarious reasons behind the change.

So was she right or wrong? Seems like yall just focused on the who and not the what. If dems did it yall would be on board just like you were when she did it.

Thanks that it wasn't me this time

It gets tiring

1. She was right about school lunches. Keyword being school.
2. This ain't the gotcha moment you think because what's in that post and what's being discussed in this thread are 2 different things

The debate isn't over school lunches or the overall idea that kids and adults need to eat healthier.

They just comparing anything to anything. I could see if they brought up free lunches

Lmao I don't even know what you lot are arguing anymore

They saying it’s ok when Democrats restrict food so kids can eat healthy. But when republicans do it we get upset because it’s republicans. Even though school lunch and snap aren’t directly related

To me this is just about restricting people from a lower class. I never complained about tax payer money helping people

I don't think people are disagreeing there probably bad intentions but I think we are also saying this could be beneficial to people health wise

It very well could be. But we know the motivation isn't to make people healthier and thats what the pushback seems to be against. Also, that Michelle Obama example only works in the context of pointing out the hypocrisy of the reactions because the 2 acts themselves are very different

I don’t think people are saying healthy choices are a bad thing. I’m just saying if it about being healthy why doesn’t this go for everybody and not just people on snap. Again we are not saying healthy food is bad.

I never thought you were saying healthy is bad I think there has been some middle ground.

Also moral of this elzo always post some trash that isn't in context

Because everybody is not on snap, those that it doesn't apply to are using their own money and not someone else's money to make their own decision.

You can't spend someone else money how you wanna spend it when they set the rules for their money or aid

I'm seeing that folks don't like to follow rules

What is their motivation to stop white folks (who are the highest group that uses snap) to stop buying these items?

If Biden signed off on it, what would be his motivation? because once upon a time, the dems did the same thing as KC pointed out...

Yall in here, and not nan one of you all are even on SNAP smh

Aint nobody in this thread who is against this are missing meals, let's stop the fake outcry. Yall don't give 2 shits about a white family in Kentucky buying their kids some cold drinks. You didn't care under Biden, or Trump's 1st term. As one pointed out WIC has restrictions, been having it.

Things have restrictions, when you borrow and use other folks resources and not your own, be prepared for changes.

Yall be doing the most over nothing, shit doesn't even impact you or your circle.

What I gather from all of your arguments is you think people lack empathy and are selfish. When we talk about what’s happening to black people under this administration you always say “well you’re good so why you care?”.

I don’t have to be on SNAP right now to feel for people who are, or call out nefarious intentions of the administrators of the program making these rules. We were in food stamps when I was little, but even if we weren’t, I’d still be able to peep the ill intent here.
