If somebody sees you in a crowded room they not gon know you if you African, Caribbean, British, Latino...they just gon see your skin and treat you accordingly until they find out other shit.being black is an American thing because being African or a specific nation is Africa is a totally different thing.
So by saying you’re black your basically saying you’re American.
You're stuck on the term black...it's just an easy way to describe somebody's skin tone/ancestry. Like how we refer to Latinos as brown.Being black in America is different than being black being from another place.
Therefore you carry your culture first.
If you’re in any African country and they speak to you in their language and dressed the way you dress everyday. They not gon call you black. They will call you America (but treat you wth respect)
You're stuck on the term black...it's just an easy way to describe somebody's skin tone/ancestry. Like how we refer to Latinos as brown.
If your culture and nationality are more important, explain colorism.

I'mma just pull this one out: The problem is every other bruh claim they "got some indian" in 'em to the point where it's ridiculous. The only reason many even care is because it sets you apart from everyone else, especially when you have "good hair". Most can't name their tribe, have no Federal roll number, or anything; they just know they got it in their ancestry somewhere.
When White folks find out they have Native heritage they tend to deep dive into it, learn the culture and really make an effort to assimilate it into their lives. They're proud of their Native blood even if it's a minuscule amount. It's more than something that sets their appearance from other whites apart.
Word...I wasn't tryna argue with you (this time lol). I was just getting at cultural inclusion and where you're from happen because others assume yall are alike based on your color. If I was in Africa rocking kente cloth they would think I was one of them til I started talking.I’m not speaking for anybody else.
I’m on your side. I was just explaining it from another POV
