Black pride was something to to proud to show the world. we stood up for our race.
now the race comes after gang, location, mentality and dress style.

how can we say black pride when we laugh at the killings in chicago and across the nation?

we have become so desensitized to blacks killing other blacks that its apart of who we are.
we dont push going to school no more to bring up our people but we push $1000 jeans when we dont own homes in the hood will kill for.

we complain about gentrification and we get ran out and relocated and we walk away from where we called home.

The definition of black pride is different to each black person. Where to some it is a simple mental decision to have pride in self. Others want it to be an unwavering dedication to all things black. Corralling it like a two year old grasping its blanket. That difference inevitably leads to division. The collapse of the movement. A person has to show pride in themselves before they can show pride in a whole race.

Lets say that pride in self is the first step and the only step. Then there is no attachment. There is no tie in to a perceive doctrine of loyalty to one race. Just a human desire to be around like minds or culture. Most humans gravitate back to their comfort zone. Most immigrants form a community in a foreign land. Birds of a feather flock together. It is the natural way.

Black pride is a generic term that carries way too much baggage. Usually others baggage. Take a conservative stance and be your own person.
