maybe people already knew this but thought that all that time locked up would have him naturally improve and he would emerge as a hot artist again with a great new skillset

Anytime I’ve seen him since he got out he’s just been dancing or flashing jewelry on social media. And the comments are always the same, “I’m happy for him and he looks happy etc” and that’s great and all but when do we stop with the honeymoon period of him being free and start holding him accountable for being a good artist?

Bobby released an ep for the first time in 8 years yesterday and barely anybody is aware of it

Somebody dropped the ball there as well. Has Bobby had a song out there on the radio at all since he’s been out? I haven’t heard or seen anything except corny dances reposted by media accounts

whether remy went platinum or not, she still has done way more than bobby schmurda ever has, before or post jail.

everyone named in this thread, including boosie post his sentence, did more than bobby

to thread starters point, yes someone dropped the ball. when bobby had more press upon release than almost anyone outside of tupac.

he had billboards in times square and outside of madison square garden, he had profiles in ny times and gq magazine, he had the cosign of almost all of the rap world, and for a while all of hip hop social media…

businesswise someone fucked up, he had the perfect chance to succeed…the fact it took him over 18 months to release an ep is ridiculous, especially considering kodak and others release shit within a week of being out
