Trudeau had to explain to Trump specifically that American firms who import items to Canada to run their businesses would be the ones paying the tariffs not Canadians directly. American firms who import goods from Canada would pay the tariffs when they import oil, gas, lumber, electricity, manufacturing parts, food, wheat and many other items. So large American firms would have less profit margins

I think you misunderstood. Wages in the US are absolutely higher and corporations will raise prices to maintain their margins. That’s just a fact.

Corporate greed is a whole other conversation. They absolutely could take less margin and pay workers more and charge lower prices, but the reality is they won’t. So using tariffs to move jobs back to the US will result in higher prices.

Wages aren't higher relative to GDP growth. Global corp profits get higher and higher and workers get less and less.

The campaign became too focused on being anti Trump. Folks wanted to know what she was going to do once in office and the campaign got away from that. Everyone already knew Trump ain't shit.

I agree on the Trump trap, but i'm sure they might of gotten more out of it if they had more time. But not totally out of it, because of the paid bots and manosphere podcasters pushing pro Trump stuff 24/7. If you ignore his stupid shit, they pish that you're ducking hard questions ect ect, till you have to respond. Biden kinda fucked them thinking he was gunna be president till he was almost 90. If he dropped out even a few months earlier they would of had more time to adapt.

I'm just speaking on them getting the base out to vote, not the undecided swing voters. The swing voters are stupid and nothing would of swayed them if they werent sure who to vote for vs Trump. She came out as a safe moderate and that didnt really excite the lazy younger voters. She seemed like a younger Biden & no one gets excited about Biden for anything. She should of flew out the gate with some Bernie talking points.

Toward the end she tried to sprinkle in some more left leaning policies but it really came across as disingenuous & half assed IMO. Its like her camp told her to be moderate, so she doesnt scare of potential big corporate/wallstreet donors. She like that doesnt really motivate the masses.

If wages in the US are higher than those in Mexico, which they are, if you move production back to the US costs go up and those costs get passed to the consumer in higher prices so the company maintains the same margins.

That’s really the crux of everything I was saying. Would you disagree with that?
