Could argue a vet, though Im going legend...

'The Score' and 'Miseducation' are classic albums regardless of genre and cross over into top any classic album list, whether its Pitchfork, Rolling Stone etc

She can sing and rap...

Came out with a conscious style that was unique at the time which has inspired a multiple generations of female MCs...

Has the sales numbers to back up her work...

Though her drop off lack of output is poor, though I think shes still got more points to tip her into legendary status...

Could’ve been a legend but she didn’t drop another album because she was lowkey scared of not being able to top the Miseducation album.

Didn't get enough of this

Nah man lol

Don't do that

You ain't called nobody else a pioneer 😂

Let's start here then. Are you now considering someone's contributions to a group as a criteria for being a legend or just solo stuff.

Serious question

My main argument this whole time has been, niggas are voting 'legend' for niggas who they first heard as kids. Not because of their resume, but because they grew up hearing the name 'Big Daddy Kane' for example. So he's revered in a different light as someone you first heard of when you were an adult.

But if you look at his resume, the niggas yall voting 'Vet' have superior resumes.

Quik, E 40, Pimp C, etc doesn't have 1 album that comes anywhere close to Miseducation, in terms of impact. Let alone The Score. Then when we talk about actual rap skill, the comparison is even more comical.

To answer your last question, I consider everything in totality. Q Tip doesn't have the greatest solo discog, but his work with Tribe makes him a legend, plus his producer work and influence. But if we were solely basing it off solo work, he wouldn't be a legend to me.
