I voted legend. He was on fire when he dropped in 98. (although he released some stuff in the mid 90s that nobody remembers) Get At Me Dog, 4321, Money Power Respect all came out around the same time. Also that Hot 97 freestyle with Canibus and NORE. Belly came out around that time too.

X came out the gate with guns blazing.

He drpped two albums back to back in 98, also those Ruff Ryders albums circa 99/2000.

X was as hot as the sun for a couple of years.
 
X had a 6 year run. His first 3 years he was out of this world. But in the latter half he was still hot.

He's known more for being a fuck up by the masses than moreso than being a rapper. It was a time when he was hot in the streets that he was on tv 3x a month for going to jail or doing dumb shit. He has 6 albums people really know about and 6 more that people on here never heard of.

He also did a lot movies that was good that got his name and brand out there.

He's known for being a crack head, woman beater, preacher, actor then rapper.

I met X that summer too. He was at this sandwich spot upstate. Word must've got out quick cuz I swear the errybody and they mama was rushing to that spot to see him.
