The thing about being a legend is, you have to have a certain measure of popularity. That doesn't matter when talking about your favorites or who you think is the best, but it does when you use a term like legendary. No offense to Quik, but even amongst West Coast rappers, he's barely mentioned. Let alone, in the wider Hip Hop discussion space. I say vet because of that.

Until you get in tuned with the West Coast not what the commercial media highlights..but the ground level

Even when considering the biggest names from Cube to Dre and beyond, Quik had a larger on the ground reverence in LA, So Cal and beyond out west

I don't know what that counts for in the context of this thread series, but it's worth something
