As a component of the Roots hes apart of a legendary ensemble .... beyond that he hasnt earned being separated from the Roots as an individual act. Without them he'd be in the huge pile of amazing emcees no one talks about

Im saying this as someone who had a stack of Roots albums years and years before people decided to extract him from the group as the highlight
