You ain't calling 50 a legend you must have hate for him. He came in the game battling top tier rappers and won.

GRODT , & The Massacre are commercial classics and prior to his albums to 50 Cent was mixtape circuit legend.....He made Soundscan a popular thing in Hip-Hop because that all he care about during the 2000's.

Now a days words like classic and legend are used too loosely. I noticed people calling rappers legends when they're really just vets. So I thought we'd make a series.

No the fuck he didn't. Niggas was bringing up numbers long before 50.

Shit one of the dudes he signed wit, biggest thing was the numbers he was doing, especially on his 2nd & 3rd albums. Both of which came out before 50.

Yes he did...50 Cent made his career off of soundscan sales that why Rolling Stone did cover between 50 vs Kanye in 2007 other rappers made talk about it but 50 Cent commercial appeal was based on soundscan sales.

Dude released GRODT and immediately capitalized off of it like he knew his time was going to run out. Got G Unit records, distributed through interscope, release the crews Group and solo albums (that first round they ALL went platinum, even yayo), quickly jumped into movies, then started getting into all sorts of other ventures.

When you put it like that, kinda sounds like a culture vulture

like he knew he had all-time hype, but the music wasn't good enough to sustain a 20+ yr music career (like a Nas or Jay-Z)

so he made his money, then transitioned into other arenas of entertainment

great entertainer, sub-par artist imo
