I don't believe he called him a bad father. Now I can't listen to 10 mins of SAS, so I didn't listen to his whole commentary.. If he actually said that, I'm open to correction. What I did hear him say in the clip I saw was that Lebron wasn't doing Bronny any favors by taking him away from G League games where he's somewhat thriving and putting him in games where he's going to get cooked.

I don't have a dog in this fight though. I dislike both them niggas.

I actually thought he'd be more boisterous on his podcast since he's more outspoken there. This level of contrition shows at the least in his mind he knows he crossed a line he shouldn't have and probably didn't think LeBron would take him up on his "come see me anytime" offer he always puts out to athletes.

I get why bron did what he did as a father. However, this makes Bronny look bad. Every player is subject to criticism m. Especially when they are not performing.
Lebron can’t have his son drafted even though he is not NBA ready and then get upset when people point that out. SAS ain’t say nothing that people are not saying away from those mics. Especially some of Bronny teammates

Ehh that can be debated. Either way I see both povs. I do think SA is wrong for using Bronny as a proxy to continuously go at Bron and he knows that hence his toned down reaction. I also think he never actually thought Bron would take him up on his "come see me" offer he always puts out there. Thats why he didn't realize he contradicted himself in real time saying they could've reached out to him like literallt said they did a couple days before to talk to him.

I think Bron was wrong for adding to the hype train knowing what attention it could bring. Which i said earlier even his own wife told him to cool out on

I don't listen to first take to know if it was anything personal that crossed the line but if SAS is talking about Bronny not being a NBA caliber player at this time then that's fair.

I said for a while now that people that covers the NBA don’t even talk basketball

And a HUGE reason of the perception of the games.

From older players to journalist that’s on TV are the worse for the game.

I think it's all WWE to be honest. Lebron wasn't actually going to do anything real, and I don't think SAS felt any genuine threat. So what's the point? SAS is softening his stance, but it's all a game for him. This the same due that's going around talking about he's going to run for president. As much as I dislike Lebron, even I can admit that his greatness is why he gets so much shine and attention. Being a dipshit is what has made SAS famous.

We all know it's performative. Thats why nobody with any sense believes SAS "I didn't wanna talk about this" bullshit. He's basically turned into what Skip was right before he left espn. Which is "but it ain't MJ" with any Bron analysis. And that decades of that shit is old and boring.
