Absolutely and when you step back and take a look at it, this whole situation creates a scenario where black people who question the motivation behind this get told that they should just be happy that she's doing it. As always that family is using black people as props for their own financial gain. That family hasn't done anything to truly help black people except when their dad helped get OJ off but that's not anything to get excited about either.

She didn't need to watch any documentaries though. She could've stayed right where she was in California and got plenty of niggas out of their overcrowded prison. She could've had a field day getting niggas out who are in there on weed charges considering where the state of California is at with weed.

I don't get your point fam. She did actually try to push prison reform. We can debate how effective that was, but I give her credit for the effort. You really just seem to want to down anything she does. At the end of the day C-Murder caught a bullshit case and should be freed. It's crazy to sit up here asking why some random celebrity is using her energy to help, that's her business.

If Kim Kardashian brings C-Murder home that doesn't say anything about Kim K and everything about the people involved in this case and the system itself.

let's not get it twisted and act like Kim Kardashian has some secret justice system knowledge or that she possess anything that hasn't already been used before. If she does end up getting him out then she needs to explain exactly what she did in detail because there's no way that she's using some new method of freeing jailed convicts.
 
i havent watched the NL chronicles doc in its entirety yet, but didnt i read just in here someone said the P said C could've been home had he told who actually did the shooting? C knows the real killer but wont cooperate? something like that

Here's some random information that I'm not going to start a new thread about.

There's a lot of people (Black men in particular) that are stuck in jail and can't get out. Their sentences are over and they have no where to go.

There are federal and state laws that say if you are on public assistance (Food stamps, SSI, Section 8, Federal and Student loans/grants for college) and you get convicted, or plead guilty to selling drugs then you are permanently banned from getting public assistance for life. The reasoning behind this law is that if you are so poor that you need public assistance the government can help you. But if you're selling drugs and making money under the table then you're defrauding the government. You are supposed to tell the government every source of income and and if you're selling drugs then you've failed to report income, which is even worse because you're selling drugs, which is illegal.

As a result, a drug dealer (who's also on welfare) might make three sells to a confidential informant/undercover cop and get arrested. He can either take it to trial and fight the case or plead guilty. Since he's guilty and doesn't have a defense, he pleads guilty and serves a shorter sentence than he would have if he took it to trial and lost.

Here's the problem; The prisons can't release you unless you have somewhere to go. Some people can call their mother, father, sister, (ex) wife, or friend and ask if they can sty with them for a few months until they can get on their feet. But after a third or fourth conviction, some inmates have burned all their bridges and have nobody to call when their sentence is over. They're ineligible for public assistance because they sold drugs while on public assistance. They have no friends or family to call because they've pissed off everybody they know and have a reputation for being a crackhead/dope fiend.

As a result, there are a lot of Black men sitting in prison right now. Their sentences are up but they can't get out because they have no where to go.


Maybe Kim K can address that problem.
