ehhh I try not to debate ppls lived experiences. the “hood” can be dangerous and ppl experience high levels of trauma day in and day out.

so even tho I understand what youre saying, the underlining narrative is real for a lot of ppl

Too much to unpack here..I'll just say this. The whole "ya knew who the enemy is" is waaaaay off. Far as I know, Iraq was partaking in what I believe is called Guerilla Warfare against the U.S. Which meant they weren't wearing uniforms and just looked like regular civilians, striking and fleeing or blowing themselves up. Which made them harder to fight, bc U.S. soldiers didnt know "who the enemy was" unless it was some high ranking official. Being a rapper is dangerous bc some of these dudes wanna show off they wealth and stunt around people that aint got shit. Now, some rappers have died over some hating ass nigga hating or street shit that followed them into the industry. But alotta times dudes is just too flashy n out there. Notice that some of the less flashy rappers dont have as many of these issues. Just my Opinion

The streets is not like going to war. All that they wear different uniforms is bullshit. In Korea and vietnam soldiers went crazy cuz they didnt know the enemy. Even now cats is killing kids cuz they dont know if the friend or foe. Lil kid run up to a humvee strapped with c4. U better shoot his ass. The only goal in a war is to kill.

Although we have a high death toll here the goal aint to kill. In fact compared to other countries we are civilized. Niggas like to embellish shit. All ur niggas dead or in jail? Damn nigga yall was soft and stupid.

Don't get me wrong there is a heavy stress level running streets but u know what? its heavy stress level in corporate america too. Them niggas will get u fired and take food off ur plate. They will stab u in the back and as we seen yesterday in Milwaukee a nigga will kill you at ur desk. Is that war?

Rappers got access to shit these hood niggas can’t fathom

There’s people who’s job is to run into a building on fire and they don’t make 20k a show

There’s a point but it’s up to him to make it, what he said is off base

corporate world will make your life uncomfortable at the end of the day.
the street you could lose your life because you wanted milk today.
the military is a whole nother animal...but you could lose your life their aswell.

i look at the military as you choose to join up.
in the street ...you cant really make that decision until you get a certain age.

i can see both sides....both valid...

thing is....the rappers do live nice...some of them.
but some of these dudes wont let the street go...no matter how bad even when they have the means.

so him losing freinds...can be true...and him being around others who made it out...still doesnt make what he said any less true.

Im not debating Jim story but it ain't war. Not even close and I have been shot and stabbed. Keep a photo album of obituaries and have done state bids. Diagnosed with PTSD and still won't compare the streets to war.

U serious cuz I have no clue where u are going with this. I'm assuming the dead is dead is to somehow say I'm saying the grieving is less. I'm not what I'm saying is living a life where a nigga might come around the corner with a 40 cal vs living a life where a military faction might drop a megaton bomb (multiples at that. The us dropped like 93 on iraq) at any moment and take out half ur city can't be compared.
