The boycott actually pushed target to cancel its rollback on their diversity goal pledge of spending/investment of $2 billion on black businesses and they've added more funds and black businesses to that pledge.

No, I didn't expect them to do that. My point was always that they are destroying one company to address an issue that is larger and in the process helping companies that are far worse.

I never said the boycott was bad or that people shouldn't do it. I just personally never thought it was a good idea. If you think crushing Target is a victory, then fair enough. I don't. Getting them to stop their rollback is good, but some analysts believe Target won't be able to recover from the boycott, so there's a good chance it won't even be around to honor that billion dollar pledge. On top of that, they never actually stopped supporting Black businesses. In fact, the boycott hurt several black owned businesses that got most of their revenue from sales at Target.

Anyway, no need to carry this on. We can agree to disagree.

Decent form on your backpeddle attempt but nah. What you did say was that target didn't reverse their stance on dei when infact they did. Then you created a world where target closing because of the boycott hurts the same people you already claim them and companies far worst than them are hurting. So what then just do nothing?

I'll just say in closing the boycott is bigger than those black owned businesses that were in target at the time and now. Short term losses and sacrifice to benefit the whole. If target falls as a result it's one player off the board and a lesson is learned for the next player that they do need to invest in the interests of black people and black businesses or they'll take losses too.

Gonna be interesting to see if drake takes the bait lol. I don't expect drake to really engage unless jay drops a nuke. Giving him real engagement is giving him energy and momentum going into an obvious album release. For Kendrick he had to come outside cause thats his peer and rival Im not sure what the tactical advantage is to doing anything more than continue subbing a 60 yr old jay z. Its not like jay can keep it up. Im not sure he can hold peoples attention like that, everyone is just running on nostalgia. Its cool right now but the longer it goes on the more cringe it looks and lends credence to everything drake has been subbing about, especially if he makes it about drake.
