Ok you know this is not my area of expertise anymore. But this is for lack of a better term an adult rap album compared to what is on the radio( don't listen to that much tho or what I hear when I am out in a non roots setting) Can't say I will be listening to it everyday or all day but I appreciated the work he put in. But again I am closer to Cain's age( just know he is above 40) than I am to anyone that is 30 or younger.

I think Cole and Kenny simply made it cool again to rap about shit other than material things and dope ala College Dropout. I wouldn't say there's resurgence in the conscious movement gonna need a cope more projects and acts to follow

It used to be that the last song on his early albums were if not conscious at least thoughtful. Have not listened to them in a while but I think I am right.
