I'm still lost

I think a lot of them are severe reaches and maybe that's the intent but it also feels like Stephen King is full of shit lol

I know it's all make believe but it feels like at some point a few fans started overwhelming him with theories and he just fed into it and started making anything

While I like the idea of a turtle that's this creator, I'm just struggling to suspend my fictional disbelief all this stems from a turtle lol

I can accept the turtle as some god or whatever it is. I was more lost on all the connections because I didn't know about a lot of those movies. I didn't see the connection for the ones I did see either. I'm more visual so I'll probably just look up some diagrams or something

Most of those movies are just Easter eggs for the most part. They had no intent to connect the movies. You dont need to watch most of those movies to enjoy IT. The only ones that really connect to this series is the shinning and Doctor Sleep. You really dont even need to see those two movies either

Most of those movies are not part of the same cinematic universe. They were one offs. But they used the same characters

His dark tower series ties in a lot of his books together. The turtle is explained more in that series.
 
Im about half way through this IT book. Got 600 more pages, lol. Im at 497

They changed a lot in the movies compared to the book. But the 2017 movie changes worked. The main thing that was changed that I noticed was the kid's from the loser club first introduction to pennywise . Like Mike hanolon. In the movie, Mike first saw Pennywise in the butcher store. Showed bodies being trapped in a burning room. Posted the link below. In the book, his first intro to pennywise, pennywise was disguised as like a 7ft bird. He was battling for his life in the destroyed grounds where the Ironworks once stood.

I also just got done reading the Blackspot incident. The show was spot on for the most part. Minor changes but I fuck with it. Main change, it was Will Hanlon that was in the military and escaped. He was an adult in the book and not a kid. Also, the fugitive story wasn't in the book, but I like this addition.

One of the things I saw different was the amount of people for the Blackspot. I saw someone saying it was 100+ inside. Obviously that's not going to adapt well

Didn't see anyone mention Richie and her in there. Did Richie burn up more to a crisp? I just feel like that whole scene wasn't realistic for them being in a burning building

All the kids that Will was friends with didnt exist in the book. Will was an adult in the military. Yes, it was over a 100 people in that spot. I think 80 died. They also did not shoot those that escaped.

so they made a scene that was already traumatizing and trippled it!
