Senior pricing specialist, I'm transferring more to the IT side once I get my degree though.

Nice. The job I’m looking at needs a bachelors degree and I got that and a minor in communications. My neighbor been working at this place for 15 years. He’s an engineer and I could start as an installer installing software to hospitals and nursing homes. He’s gonna walk me through the entire process and him and his son who works there will vouch for me. They respect his opinion a lot so I’m hoping I get it

Y'all cats need to get up on Software Defined Radio (and by extension, FPGA programming), especially for use with security. I'm on a project now that utilizes SDR under Linux and the shit is turning out to be extremely lucrative. I can't go into detail at all about what I'm doing with it, but let's just say there's some alphabet agencies involved and some international corporations looking to utilize the shit I'm working on. I've only been contracted to get the pieces talking to one another but I may end up writing code to really get it crackin. If I can get this shit happening in the next few days I'mma see a few thousand in my bank account next week. Once we get the POC working and able to show it, my bank account will swell by an amount very, very deep in the six figure range.

If all this shit plays out like it's supposed to, by spring I'll be 100% debt free, owning a crib free and clear with a few nice ass rides in the driveway (also free and clear), and a few hunned g's sittin' off in my retirement fund.

Thinking about moving over to the consulting side. I'm an IT Security Engineer for a school district right now.

The job I’m trying to get, my neighbors son was doing it and now is an consultant. Loves it

SQL isn’t hard to learn at all. Them YouTube tutorials are easy to follow and I bought a Udemy course about it too

Its a good starting point to learn some languages too. SQL isnt really a language but it does follow the structure of programming languages and shares the same concepts, so practicing some sql will make it either when jumping into something like python

I just got a free course on Udemy about python. Some 16 year old prodigy narrates it but he seems like he knows his shit.

i hit a big pause on this shit smh

definitely not some slight shit you can just fuck around with on the side

got a new respect for ya'll's profession

Dope shit fam. Just saw a position at my company that offered a median of 177k amd max 234k. Usually these jobs want 7-10 years experience of some heavy shit like spring java and c# and shit but this wanted 5 years of any experience in the field and 2 years of python.

From th3 description it sounded like they wanted to write a script using python that was gonna collect and write data to multiple different data warehouses. Shit sounds wild but not too difficult if you knew python.

That’s that good ass motivation. I know I won’t be getting anything like that starting, but it’s something good to think about for the future

That’s all I need. A chance. I’m gonna go hard on learning both python and sql

Yeah, this shit is kinda dope. Got the HackRF-One and a LimeSDR Mini up and running on a Raspberry Pi3 over the weekend so we can further miniaturize this project. Gotta write out a tutorial for both 'cause the shit out there now sucks ass.
