Is There Anything Wrong With A Man Being A Feminist?

That's a dumb argument.

Whether or not a man should be a feminist is a more interesting question. In principle, feminism is just supposed to mean advocacy for women's right, which modern men should support. However, a fair amount of what is now presented as feminism just comes off as manhating. I don't see why any dude would want to be associated with that.

Can you cite examples of that? And I don't mean memes or tiktoks or somebody's viral takes where they make exaggerated faces in the bottom corner of a youtube video.

So you want examples except for all the examples?

I understand where you're coming from, but the reality is that whether you like it or not, a lot of today's public discourse is carried out through social media and meme shit by definition is what most people are exposed to. So it might be true that academic feminism doesn't push manhating, but are more people exposed to academic feminism or social media feminism? I'd argue the latter, which is problematic.

I hate when ya'll come in here and act like people aren't influenced by memes, tiktoks, and viral takes. We know for a fact that they are. You might want to show me a feminist scholar that's got like 10K followers and hold her as the standard for what feminism is, and that is probably the most intelligent route. However, that doesn't change the fact that you can find a social media feminist 100K followers that has better exposure and wider influence. That's just the reality.
