Is Saigon The Worst Rapper of All-time?

Prodigy end his career

up-saigon

I used to fuck with Warning Shots heavy but other than that I’ve never been the biggest fan. One of them dudes that had a shelf life of the 2000’s to get a hit or a album that could sell under his belt but just couldn’t get it done,

This is a spinoff of Saigon blaming Ebro for ruining his career.

You know how ass you gotta be to have an album fully produced by Just Blaze with a Jay-Z feature and nobody gives af?

Even Philly's Most Wanted had a couple hits, shit even Group Home.

Has there been a worse fumble in hiphop?

Bruh I used to hear about him all the time then I didn’t

Man this is crazy @Goldie all them cologne aroma chemicals going to your brain brother lol

'Warning Shots' Top 5 mixtapes of all time... Saigon did fumble his career though, although he was a also a victim of timing too as hardcore/East Coast hip hop was being phased out for southern music...

He made 'Come Again' as a shot to 'tick tack toe' tunes...

One of the great mother tribute tunes...

This here. There is no way you were listening to hip hop when “Warning Shots” came out and say he the worst rapper. Dude had an amazing talent, what he did not have was the right team around him. Just Blaze is a GREAT producer, but clearly not good at running a record label. Dude had Saigon and Jay Elect and fumbled both. Saigon should have signed with Rocafella. I also think he had a confusing direction. He was a street rapper w a conscious message. That kind of vision needs direction and someone that can help him sell and market that properly.
I’m sure Saigon himself fucked up himself in the process

Another factor that hurt Saigon more than anything. That southern sound COMPLETELY took over the game and East Coast rappers that didn’t adjust or even attempted to play ball, did not survive unless they already had a core audience to market their sound to

Lol I cant make excuses for Saigon but I liked the greatest story never told when it ebentually dropped. It dropped years after his buzz though.

Shit I remember him bullying prodigy and Joe budden back in the day

Wasn’t he about to sign to gunit in 2006/7, but then he said something in an interview that 50 took as disrespect and he pulled the offer??
