Top 5? No. Top 10... Maybe

I never bought any 3-6 Mafia, Mobb Deep, NWA, or Bone Thugs albums but I remember listening to said artists songs on the radio (except N.W.A.) [didn't start listening to rap until '94] when radio was still hot.

3-6 Mafia got a few classics songs under they belt though.

Sippin' on Syrup
I Stay Fly
Playa Why You Hatin'
Hard Out Here For A Pimp (Won a Oscar)
Ridin' Spinners

Nah ... They're more than just Memphis Music (Local).... Shits hilarious how niggas keep falling for that tho In these threads

Tear da club of course
Late night tip

Stay Fly
Dope Boy Fresh
Poppin My Collar

Question who's a better Lyricist Sheek Louch or Lord Infamous ????

so you've only heard their singles? lol

if that's the case, your opinion holds little to no weight

Nigga said "Young Gunz"
3-6 cool, but I've never once in life listened to a whole album. I couldn't when without googling tell you the names of their albums.

I listened to damn near everything the yg'z did. So for me yea

Something like this really needs to be broken down by region for real. No particular order in the south goodie mob, outkast, 8ball&mjg,ugk,ghetto boys,3-6 mafia, quad city dj's

Only on
Grandmaster Flash & The Furious 5
Public Enemy
2 Live Crew
A Tribe Called Quest
Wu Tang
The Roots
NWA

I never really listened to 36. It's a regional thing because I'd never really heard of them until I got online and started frequenting message boards.

Edit. I remember living in NYC from 1997-1999 and we were getting Master P and No Limit. We were also getting Missy Elliot and McGoo and Timbaland, but we weren't getting 36 Mafia, or UGK, or 8 Ball & MJG. We got Outkast though.

If you never heard them, then how can you make a list on who's better? Infamous will rap circles around Grandmaster and the Furious 5 but I get it. It's the record store. We gotta keep it "hip hop" at all cost. No matter how simple niggas used to rap in the 80s. Anything they did back then exceed any talent after them.

This is 3 6 rap style in a nutshell,
