When this was posted in the Funny Pictures/Memes thread I didn't know the shit was real. "Thot" now means "That Hoe Owes Taxes"

"The Thanksgiving weekend has been marked with an unexpected viral offensive, sending shockwaves online. Users slammed camera sex models for tax evasion and call on fellow netizens to report them to tax authorities. While some lambast campaigners as trolls, others consider them a serious threat.

Hashtags #ThotPatrol and #ThotAudit are trending on Twitter amid a new viral campaign, set up by “right-wing “incels” and men’s rights activists,” as News Corp Australia reports.

The acronym “Thot,” often used by Internet users, stands for “that hoe over there.” The flash mob encourages users to complain to the authorities, namely the IRS, about online sex workers, such as “camgirls” and Snapchat sex models, who allegedly do not declare their income.

From the IRS: https://www.irs.gov/about-irs/whistleblower-office-at-a-glance

"... An award worth between 15 and 30 percent of the total proceeds that IRS collects could be paid, if the IRS moves ahead based on the information provided. Under the law, these awards will be paid when the amount identified by the whistleblower (including taxes, penalties and interest) is more than $2 million. If the taxpayer is an individual, they must have at least $200,000 in gross income."

You have to be a seriously lonely woman hater to mess with a poor working girls money. Sad.

I genuinely don't understand this mentality. Why do you have to hate women in order to report them to the IRS?

People of all walks of life gettin snitched on to the IRS, what makes this specific group of people worthy of some sort of outrage and protection?

This is the wackest shit ever. Snitching on models for not paying taxes is weak as hell

Bruh they saying thot all in the article. Also we all say snitching is bitch made shit. Snitching on sex workers because niggas pay for pussy screams bitch ass dude.

If this was a case with a whole underground pimp ring forcing folks into tge game i can understand telling on that from a moral standpoint. But this seems they told soley because they dont want people they deem prostitutes having money. I mean would you tell on your neighbor for tax evasion?

Ay that was my post. I didn't know this was a whole movement, though

Seems nosy af. Unless someone personally messed with you I don't really condone getting involved in their lives like that. If she kicked your dog and now your dog needs operation, by all means go get your vengeance.

That being said, if shit like this is going on and women are touting that "we only make 77 cents" myth the whole time, the fact they have so much unclaimed income may very well contribute to that myth.

But it aint that many women doing this not enough to change the economy.

Maybe, there are several factors that would be involved in making that decision, the primary of which is "Is my neighbor a threat to my business?"

I look at this from a "cost of doing business" perspective. All my work is online. I get my clients and get paid through Upwork. The money is then deposited in my business PayPal account and from there I send it to my bank account. Depending on how much money I make in a calendar year and how many transactions I have in that year, PayPal might hit me with a 1099K form AND they'll report the money that flowed through their service as income to the IRS.

The only difference between me and them chicks is the nature of the work performed: I work in tech, they show skin. Aside from that there's no difference as far as the the business aspect of it is concerned: A part of making money online is you have to pay your taxes. Every year that I've been taking care of my family like this I've filed a Schedule C along with my 1040. That comes with the territory and no one is exempt from it. I always make sure my paperwork is tight 'cause I went through an audit a little over 10 years ago and the shit wasn't cool in the least bit.

Somehow, these chicks think they don't have to pay taxes on the money they make; that simply isn't true. If you earn more then $600 in a year doing whatever, you owe taxes; this is just a wake-up call for these chicks to get their business in order.
