No, I don't think he will. Trump has never been popular. It's just that his base is super committed and his opposition usually doesn't excite people to the same extent. That's why Hillary lost. It wasn't that Trump did so well. It was more that she did so badly in key areas.
It looked to be more of the same for Biden, but Biden's campaign wisely removed him from the public view and Trump has made some pretty bad mistakes that are actually starting to crack his base now.
The thing about it is, if Trump wasn't such a dumbass and actually did the right things here and there, I think he would have won re-election for sure. Like if he had gotten us through Corona better or had pushed for some simple legislation to quell the protests, they would have blown whatever he did out of proportion and Joe would have had a hard time competing. Fortunately for us, Trump is committed to being an idiot and literally did the opposite of what he should have done in several cases.
