You can only have one race but you can have multiple ethnic affiliations. a black person can be Jamaican and Haitian. A white person can be irish and polish. so when a person says multi racial they are wrong. they are not biracial they are multi ethnic. when it comes to race you are ONE of the races defined by government. White, Asian, Black/African American, American Indian, and Pacific Islander or Native Hawaiian. That didnt come from no one's bible or religious book.
With that being said you check one box. The box you check should be that of your father. On birth certificates the mother's race might be listed but they do not automatically list the child's race as that of the mothers. never have. there is also another boxe that you can check. non-hispanic white or white hispanic (something like that). those are ethnic boxes
Since everyone complains so much they created other and the biracial stuff but really that is about ethnic grouping and not racial group.

no problem. to understand how that person is of one race but multi ethnic you have to define the race and ethnicity. Race is unitary. it was created to form a single group. That is why a person can only have one race. the easiest way to define a person's race we be to go by one parent. We live in a male dominated society. it was natural to go by that of your father. in history though that rule has been changed at times to discriminate against black people. the one drop rule.
ethnic is a group of people that share a background. african americans, french canadians. those are not racial groups. so a person can be a german nigerian ethnically but if the father is german that means racially they are white. if he is nigerian that means they are black. race has nothing at all to do with skin color.

U are telling your interpretation of what society's rules are which can shift 100 yrs from now to the exact opposite of what youre telling me today.
What wont change is genetic makeup, which is inherited by BOTH the mother and father.
Which is why a child with interracial parents might have "white" and "black" features.
I agree with this bolded too which is why i dont understand why we see things differently on sharing both parents genetics

u are right. i am telling you my interpretation. there is no clear definition of race. so next week if people want to create a race called blackwhite they can. i assume it will happen soon enough since interracial dating is producing more and more kids. those kids may not be fully accepted or may not want to deny one race over the other. In creating a new group they are doing exactly what i said. they are finding a way to group people into one group.
im not telling u that you are wrong. i am telling u that race aint that easy to define. defining race by feature is dangerous as well. white girls are growing asses now. that is a black feature.

You got me. I think a mixed person is given an option to choose how they ID. A random white dude saying he black or me saying im white isnt the exact same. If im thinking by science i feel like they just mixed.
