Someone who transcends their genre first and foremost

Biggie never been more than a dope MC. Had he lived longer could he have? Sure but he didn't

Pac transcend hip hop in the same amount of time Biggie had.

One a ICON, the other not. Im prepared to make this same argument against Nas

Pac was an actor. Thats what he did outside hip hop. His acting did not make him a legend his rap did. They both transcend hip hop. Not like on a jay z level tho

However Biggie is NOT a hip hop Icon. No one has been able to tell me why he a hip hop Icon. Besides he a great writer and he died. Shit is disrespectful to the ppl who actually put in work

Name your list of icons bruh. Because if dj screw gets for created screw music biggie def gets it for his impact. Everybody in the world knows biggie not everybody knows dj screw. So if its about transcending some shit then explain your stance.
