These abw fakes are confused about how come you and dis never called me tether and that's because I respect FBAs history. I do have a problem with some of their rhetoric but for the most part I agree them in terms outsiders not using their benefits which is ironically happening now. There's immigrants that do stuff the right way and there's immigrants that dont care and will step on your shoes and use you.

Folks go learn trying to listen to tethers whose folks fled their country. Honestly, no FBA person should be listening to foreign blacks on anything that has to do with government policies. They didn't put up a fight in their homeland. But in any case, they wanna tell us how things work over here when they just got here and don't know the FBA history or US history other than what they've heard from TV and shit.

They don't read books written by FBAs, they don't listen to FBA podcasters, they listen to their own kind, which is why they always dapping each other up when it comes to politics for the most part.

FBAs truly don't need to discuss nor listen to any non-fba when it comes to gov't policies imo, and I'm glad the majority of us are moving that way.
 
Relying on the letter of the law instead of basic human decency is a sign something is fucked up.

Defending a person that shot a US citizen in the face instead of focusing on all the ways they could have and should have de-escalated is fucked up.

And remember, these people being a form of law enforcement means they are held to a higher standard, so miss me with the she should have complied blah, blah, blah. If you have that take then you also stand with white people that say it’s ok to kill black people because they didn’t comply.

I spent all of 2015 interviewing and observing Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents across Arizona, California and Texas. My goal: to understand how the once predominantly white institution of immigration law enforcement, established and maintained historically as a tool of white supremacy, had come to be disproportionately made up of Latinos. In fact, Latinos make up more than 50% of Border Patrol agents and 24% of ICE agents, the most recent publicly available numbers I found.


I wanted to understand what possesses Latinos to work for agencies that round up or deport neighbors and family members from the very communities they call home. How do Latinos do this to their own people, I asked. Is it self-hatred? A denial of ethnic identity? Or do they think that being party to the state’s exclusionary machinery cements, in a way, their own individual claims to belonging as Americans — to whiteness?



In one interview after another over the span of 13 months, the answer became clear: It’s not any of these. For Latino agents, it’s about the money
 

A Push to Expand the Rights of Immigrants in Defiance of Trump​

Democratic lawmakers in New Jersey — emboldened by convincing wins in November — are poised to expand migrant rights, an effort seen as a defiant and provocative statement of principle in a state with the country’s second largest percentage of immigrants after California.

On Monday the State Legislature is scheduled to vote on measures that would reinforce existing protections and make it more difficult for federal agents to target undocumented immigrants for deportation. The legislation has already drawn criticism from the Trump administration, which has expanded deportation efforts across the country over the past year.

The push comes months after immigration and deportation became divisive issues in the governor’s race.

Mikie Sherrill, New Jersey’s Democratic governor-elect, assiduously avoided taking a clear position during the campaign on the state’s Immigrant Trust Directive, a policy enacted in 2018 to limit how much help local law enforcement officers can offer federal immigration agents. At the time, her Republican opponent, Jack Ciattarelli, was vowing to repeal the directive on Day 1 as he tried to appeal to voters supportive of President Trump’s efforts to increase deportations.

The conversation has grown only more complex since then and gained new intensity last week after a federal immigration agent shot and killed Renee Good, a U.S. citizen, during an enforcement action in Minnesota.
