That and voting becoming a sign of where your morals stand to. When politicians started running campaigns on morals instead of policy then it became lines in the sand being drawn and people being forced to juggle just what they were and weren't comfortable being around

You're still not getting all of it right. They didnt decline a meeting with him. They extended the offer. He just wanted a personal one on one meeting instead and declined their offer. So that alone already shapes how he's telling the story. And yes part of it is because Trump is the devil They don't like. Part of it is also the expectatjons people had of Ice Cube to be able to peep game on shit that he seemingly got blindsided by. I mean he's openly giving props to Trump for meeting with him, doing interviews with Tucker Carlson while shitting on Dems...those optics could lead someone to think he was supporting Trump. He says it's not true and you gotta take him at his word. But to pretend to not know why someone would have gotten that perception is him not being completely honest.

I don't get why you're so invested in speaking up for the Democrat party. Neither of them care about us. Cube's whole point is that he was willing to work with whomever was willing to listen. The idea we can only talk or work with Democrat politicians is crazy and only hurts us

Read again. My posts ain't about defending the Democratic party. I explicitly state they don't care now and didn't care then. I then said Cube could've got the same idea off in 2024 by going to Trump again with more success and way less push back.

If you see any criticism of what Cube did as being an attack dog for the Dems then you're showing youre not actually listening to some of the criticism that was given. Labeling all the criticism he received as that is not only false its disingenuous and hurts your argument because again it defaults to the pov that he can't be rightfully criticized. Just because you may not have liked or agreed with it doesn't make it invalid as you're trying to paint it as. Because some of the criticism was legit.

As for your 2nd paragraph that's exactly what I said when I said multiple times already Cube would've been more successful this time around. You literally just agreed with me after trying to say that criticism is coming at him like an attack dogs for Dems.

What criticism has there been other than he was stupid for thinking that Trump would take him seriously? That's it. He was attacked for simply talking to Trump and the Reps. If you said people weren't just being attack dogs, then give me a substantive criticism that doesn't just boil down to people being mad that he tried to break bread with the other side.

I wasn't talking about 2024 with the second paragraph. I think he could have played that in 2020 if Trump had actually won. The big thing impeding him was the backlash. Trump wouldn't have wasted his time doing any of that shit if he knew that black people were against him.
