Hey everyone

Just gonna get straight to the point

I know you all have been wondering what's going on with the site.

There is no conspiracy or anything shady going on. The fact of the matter is that Goldie is the only one who can make changes to the site. Whether is adding layouts, emoji's, reorganizing forums, etc...

I'm not going to speak on what's been keeping him away from the site as that isn't my business or anyone else's for that matter. I've seen chatter here and there. Some of it is probably warranted, some of it...well...i'm just not gonna address it b/c it just adds to the cycle of negativity. Big shout out to @Loquacious, @Duwop and @Chi-akin Citywalker for addressing things. Kandy has been nothing but honest about the situation but some of you still gonna be on some goofy time and try to make everything a joke.

A couple of things to try that has seemed to help me when i'm able to log in:

-for my phone, i use duckduckgo for the browser
-desktop, i use firefox
-try not to use the emoji's here at least for now. I know i know they are favorites for some of you. If you can, try to save the emoji as a jpeg to your device and upload it as a pic if you just have to use one. It will be a lot faster than letting the emoji window load up.

I've had issues with Chrome for whatever reason. Could be the xenforo forum software not playing nice with some of the site's plugins. I don't know. The site works. Not as fast or as efficient as some of you would like, but it works. The two things I listed seem to help some with loading times. But dont keep pressing refresh. Just click "new posts" or whatever once and the page will load. I've tested this with both mobile data and wifi. The load speeds appear to be about what and what. I'm not on IOS so if anyone with an iphone can share any tips for how they navigate the site, please share.

If you say you support black businesses and ventures, now isnt the time to get frustrated and trying to shit on the homie. We have to be more patient than ever with our brother who is obviously dealing with something that's more important than the site. When i'm able to log on, I do and just try to make the best of the situation. All the complaining isn't helping. He has built this place from the ground up and it would be nice if some of you show a little more respect and decency. Please dont tag him to any threads with your grievances about the site.

If you consider yourself to be religious or spiritual, say a prayer for Goldie as well as everyone here who also might be dealing with something you don't know about. If you dont pray, then just think of something positive to say about the man.

I personally wish I had something more for you all but I don't. I hope you all continue to be safe.

You guys let him know his site is acting up though right? Don't know what he's dealing with but I doubt he'd want to be surprised by this after whatever he's dealing with now. When he gets back you guys should maybe consider some backup plans to who can handle everything when he's not available in the future

I use edge on PC and just let stuff load up. It really acts up if I click on a thread that's got a lot of pictures and links of twitter/IG. It's about the same for iphone. Reactions take about 7 seconds on PC to load up. Sometimes the entire page doesn't show up and gets cutoff at the bottom and I gotta refresh
 
I appreciate the transparency from the staff, given the situation.

Def not gonna shit on Goldie. Nothing but positive vibes and thoughts for homie.

And Im def not planning to go to another forum.

Only suggestion I can make is maybe find a way where someone other than goldie can also make updates to the site. Not any old mfer, but allowing goldies number 2 here should be able to make the necessary monthly or quarterly updates to speed up the site when necessary.

Maybe its something that should be discussed by yall when goldie pops back in.

Never a good idea to only have 1 person that can do something in any type of business. Everyone should always have a backup.

I don't really know the man. But the first and last time we crossed each other online, he appeared to me than through his words, the way he dealt with us members, and the respect he inspired from everyone like some decent gentleman.

He's one of the very few people here on this forum who seemed nice with me, even if we never properly spoke with each other.

We are absolutely not friends nor acquaitanced, but I hope he's doing good.

your post comes off hella selfish. You’re worried about him and hope he pulls through BUT what about the site?

imagine going through some real shit and getting constantly talked to about something that may not be of high priority.

I wish Goldie positive energy and to be in a better situation with whatever he's been dealing with. Giants fan we gotta gear up for next season.
