We'll start with the 70s since there probably aren't that many people who have opinions about music that came from the 60s or earlier. Also, this is music across the board, not just one genre in particular.
lol Ok, that makes more sense. Everybody has the right to their opinion, but saying the 2020s is the best decade for modern music would be a wild ass take.
If you listen to The Last Poets and James Brown and Parliament/Funkadelic and then listen to the early rap records from Sugarhill Gang, Grandmaster Flash and Kurtis Blow you can see the roots of Hip Hop.
So much good music, but i guess if i had to choose, its probably the 70s. They decade inspired and was sampled to make a lot of hits, especially in the 90s
in terms of popular music prince michael and madonna dropped timeless classics
then you got stevie wonder, whitney, george michael, phil collins, tina turner revived her career, luther, anita, sade, new edition, kool and the gang, rick james
u2, guns n’ roses, bruce springsteen,bon jovi, billy joel, lionel richie
let’s be real here…1990s was monumental for hip hop, yes…but overall music. 1980s reigns supreme and it’s not even close
