i give her her way most of the time....but when i do speak on something.....she knows its important and she will fall back.

We only need consensus on the major things like parenting decisions and financials.

For me it's not that we disagree but HOW we disagree. I want to hear your point, I want you to hear mine and everything done with respect for the other person whether we end up on the same side or not. Everything is about balance and I don't mean keeping score but you know in a relationship if you're always the one who has to compromise, but fundamentally there are things a couple should agree on like the dude above me said.
