Do people know cars can idle for days? That dude with his kids in the cold house need to go scrape his car off and start it. Hell my plan if my power goes out it to chill in my car til the power comes back on.

Buildings with elevators or elevators themselves usually have their own generators and will go back to ground floor during blackout or a fire alarm.

Be safe and warm. If you don't want the car running the whole time just get it as warm in there as you can take and turn it off till you need to warm back up.
Is there a schedule for the blackouts?
Oh I’m headed to the car to search for food and charge my phone. I know how to pile on clothes in the house but the weather is actually heating up. It’s no longer in the teens. As far as a schedule I don’t know but it seems to be moving away from one area and hit ours. Some folks say they lights came on for a few hours and went back out.
